NEURODIVERSITY OBSERVATORY

Turning Invisible Barriers into Actionable Inclusion

Data that guides. Connections that include. Policies that transform.

The Neurodiversity Observatory is a digital social infrastructure initiative that connects lived experience, territorial data, public information and community participation to help make barriers visible and turn evidence into more inclusive decisions.

Listen → Understand → Map → Connect → Act → Measure

Inclusion cannot be designed around invisible barriers.

Neurodivergent people and their families often navigate fragmented information, uneven access to services, territorial inequalities and systems that do not adequately capture lived experience.

1

Invisible barriers

Barriers that traditional data often misses, from sensory challenges to complex bureaucratic hurdles.

2

Visible evidence

Turning qualitative experiences and fragmented data into clear indicators for better planning.

3

Actionable inclusion

Moving beyond awareness to create concrete changes in services, policies and territories.

A digital infrastructure for inclusion

Territorial Intelligence

Understand how services, needs and opportunities are distributed across territories.

Evidence Integration

Connect public data, mapped resources and community-generated information.

Participation

Create structured channels for people, families and professionals to contribute knowledge.

Decision Support

Transform fragmented information into clearer evidence for planning and action.

Knowledge Connection

Bring research, information and relevant resources closer to communities and decision-makers.

From listening to measurable action

LISTEN

Collect lived experiences, needs and community signals.

UNDERSTAND

Organize evidence to identify barriers, inequalities and opportunities.

MAP

Connect data, services, territories and relevant public information.

CONNECT

Bring together people, professionals, knowledge and institutions.

ACT

Translate evidence into better decisions, initiatives and solutions.

MEASURE

Track what changes, where gaps remain and what can be improved.

From concept to working platform

The Observatory is currently in a working MVP phase, with a digital platform already supporting data organization, territorial mapping, service-network visualization, participation and public information.

Human-Centered Data

We focus on the journey from lived experience to intelligence. By integrating territorial signals with public data, we reveal what standard indicators often overlook.

  • Lived experience as primary source
  • Evidence-based decision support
  • Territorial intelligence integration
  • Actionable inclusion pathways

Inclusion is territorial.

Access to information, services, support networks and opportunities is not evenly distributed. The Observatory uses territorial intelligence to help identify where resources exist, where gaps emerge and where closer attention may be needed.

Replicability

Designed as a scalable digital infrastructure that can be adapted to different territories and social contexts.

Social Impact

Generating evidence that connects actors and guides more inclusive public and private decisions.

Participation

Empowering communities to turn their challenges into structured signals for change.

Aligned with SDG 10 — Reduced Inequalities

Making inequality visible is a first step toward reducing it.

The Neurodiversity Observatory contributes to SDG 10 by helping identify barriers to participation, unequal access to information and services, territorial disparities and opportunities to strengthen inclusion.

Visible Inequalities

Identify barriers and disparities that conventional indicators may overlook.

Inclusive Policies

Support the development of data-driven policies that address specific territorial needs.

"SDG alignment reflects the project’s social-impact objectives and does not imply endorsement by the United Nations."

About the Observatory

The Neurodiversity Observatory is an independent social impact initiative developed by Instituto Sallva. We are not a government agency, nor do we represent any official public body.

Our mission is to build a digital infrastructure that turns the lived experiences of neurodivergent people and their families into actionable intelligence. We believe that inclusion starts with evidence and matures through territory-aware participation.

Our work does not imply institutional partnership with any cited or monitored organizations unless explicitly stated through a formal cooperation agreement.
